When Derry - founder and owner of Barney's Farm – arrived in the Himalayas during the 80's to search for the best cannabis landrace strains, little did he imagine the magnitude his seed bank would achieve some years later. After many trips and numerous seeds from countries such as India, Nepal, Tibet, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam, and China, Derry decided to move to Amsterdam to start developing and stabilizing several hybrids for the cannabis professional market. Barney's Farm, one of the most renowned Dutch seed banks, was born.
Today, this company's extensive catalogue includes all kinds of seeds: regular, feminized, and, of course, automatic and CBD-rich. In addition, many of their strains are available in Barney's Coffeeshop in Amsterdam, which no doubt has a lot to do with the success of this business.
