You have probably heard about the famous THC, scientifically called Δ-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, the main cannabinoid present in cannabis plants. The THC concentration, as with the other known cannabinoids, can vary greatly from one strain to another. We present here those varieties with the highest THC levels.
This concentration is secreted in the trichomes present in the cannabis plant's flowers. The THC level has a direct impact on the effects experienced during consumption whether are the buds or the resin obtained in an extraction. THC is used to relieve symptoms suffered by many patients in countries where its use is authorised, helping to reduce spasms, relieve nausea, stimulate appetite and calm pain, particularly chronic and neuropathic pain.
