Blue Sunset Sherbert genetics

Blue Sunset Sherbert by Barney's Farm is a cross between Sherbert Dib Dab and Purple Punch.

It is the encounter between Sherbet Dib Dab, a Sunset Sherbet clone (Girl Scout Cookies x Pink Panties) notable for strong citric aromas thanks to a high terpenes content, with a strong and long lasting effect. On the other hand, Purple Punch by Barneys, a hybrid between Big Daddy Purple and Larry OG, a plant with an Indica structure, which offers a large amount of compact and aromatic flowers that emanate apple pie and blueberry flavours.

The result is a 65% Indica strain, with compact and resinous buds with a high terpenes load. The flowers contain Limonene, Humulene and Terpinolene, and exude a distinctive citric aroma.

Blue Sunset Sherbert cultivation

Indoors it is a plant with a size of up to 80 cm, with short internodal spacing. It develops secondary ramifications that develop vigorously, where high production is generated. It is an ideal strain for using optimisation techniques, such as low stress (LST) or SCROG. It has a flowering period of about 59-63 days, with a yield of up to 650-700g per m2. It produces compact flowers with a variety of exotic colours.

Blue Sunset Sherbert in outdoor cultivation can reach up to 200cm in height, easily adopting a shrub-like structure due to its strong lateral ramification. Outdoor cultivation increases the harvest considerably, with a yield of up to 1000g per plant when grown in open ground. The harvest is ready during the first two weeks of October.

Blue Sunset Sherbert is an easy to cultivate plant. It does not require any special care and withstands well the adverse weather conditions that can affect the cultivation. It also shows good resistance to insect pests and certain fungi.

The plant fills up with large and compact flowers, with an above average level of terpenes and large resin content.
