Philosopher Seeds presents the iconic Critical Jack by Silent Seeds, a well-known strain in the cannabis scene because of its fantastic balance between easy to grow and high production. It is a mixed genotype yet Sativa dominant, 60/40 Sativa Indica. This variety takes the best of each, combining to perfection the fast and productive Critical+ flowering, with the Jack Herer's Haze vigour and genetics.

It was marketed from the beginning by Dinafem. Now, Silent is the seedbank that recovers it through the original Dinafem clones.

Critical Jack cultivation

Critical Jack presents a structure with the best of Indica and Sativa genotypes. Provided with a sufficient growing period, it produces large specimens with a medium-short internodal distance and a great vigour in the branches that grow from these nodes.

It is easy to cultivate thanks to attributes such as a more vigorous growth compared to other genetics, a short flowering period both indoors and outdoors, low nutrient requirements, and good resistance to fungi and insect pests.

Silent Seeds recommends a three-week vegetative stage indoors, to avoid monsters that can engulf the growing tent (figuratively speaking!). It is best to control the height before changing the light, as the final stretching occurs when passing to flowering. It yields around 600g per m2 under optimal growing conditions in just about 60 days of flowering.

Outdoors, the structure is enhanced by both space and sunlight. This plant quickly takes on the shape of a large shrub. It develops secondary ramification with a size and flower production similar to the central branch. The harvest is ready in late September/early October, with a yield of up to 1200g per plant.

Critical Jack, flavours and effects

Critical Jack offers a flavour and aroma strongly marked by the Haze genetics, with a citric base where incense, exotic wood and spicy notes are blended.

The effect also has a strong Sativa trait. It is powerful and cerebral, almost euphoric, lasting for a while.
