Expogrow 2015

The 4th edition of Expogrow Irun takes place during the 11, 12 and 13 of September 2015 in Irun (Basque country).
Expogrow is the second most important fair in Europe; despite its young age, this fair grows faster in every new edition, since its organisers are familiar with the sector and manage to run a professional and entertaining event . We would like to express our congratulations to them for such a great job.

In this post, we’ll tell you about the different activities that take place during these days, also about the Expogrow Cannabis Cup 2015 - where Philosopher Seeds competed with the Cheesy Auto variety – the speakers in the forum and the artists who support the cannabis cause.

Cheesy Auto from Philosopher Seeds

Philosopher Seeds is happy and proud for participating and winning the Expogrow Cannabis Cup 2015. We thank all judges of this edition and specially the organisation for such a wonderful event. This award encourages us to continue working hard to offer the best from our genepool.

We have competed in the Autoflowering strains category with what, probably, is the best automatic strain of our Auto Line, the aromatic Cheesy Auto. The plant has been grown using Biocanna nutrients, a completely organic line of products used to enhance its organoleptic features and achieve amazing smell and taste.

Cheesy Auto develops some very dark phenotypes that stand out for its beautioful colours and compact buds, such as the one submitted in this Cup. This is caused by its Skunk genes, coming from the renowned Exodus Cheese cut that we present here in autoflowering version.

All automatic varieties from Philosopher Seeds are constantly evolving, so we can offer top quality automatic strains that will make you fly; some phenotypes we have tested reached more than 20% THC!

Expogrow

Last year, 17.000 visitors enjoyed the fair in Irun, which is becoming one of the most important events in the cannabis calendar. This number increases every year, and people know it will probably become one of the reference fairs worldwide.

Every professional of the sector want to be present in Expogrow, so it is a perfect chance for you to discover all the news from the marihuana seeds market, growing gear, headshop...You’ll spend a great time, so we hope we’ll meet you at 2016 Expogrow!

There is a huge indoor fairground where you’ll find all the stands of the different companies, who will show you their new products and advise you on anything you need. Here you’ll also find the International Cannabis Social Forum. Outside,  you have more stands, foods and drinks, live music concerts and other activities. For the second year, the European Functional Flame Off will gather glassblowers from all over Europe to show their skills creating a functional smoking piece in the same time. A great show for sure!

Expogrow 2015 concerts and basque sports

One of the main attractions of this fair is, doubtless, the number of activities organised for the visitor. During the day, you can watch or take part in several basque sports, which we assure you are truly spectacular.

At night, it’s time to relax and chill with friends. The concerts of this year’s edition were awesome: we could enjoy Third World (Jamaica), Collectif 13 (France), Marina P (Italy/France), Fyahwboy (Spain), Flavia Cohelo (Brasil) and many other artists supporting the legalisation of cannabis.

International Cannabis Social Hemp

The 4th edition of the International Cannabis Social Forum will also take place at Expogrow 2015, sponsored by the Alchimia Solidaria Foundation. The oprganisers have invited personalities from arounf the world to speak about the cannabis issue: activists, doctors, lawyers, politicians, philosophers and journalists. On this year’s edition, we could hear:

1. Marc and Jodie Emery: Worlwide renowned Canadian activists
2. Ethan Nadelmann: Director and founder of the Drug Policy Alliance, USA
3. Augusto Vitale: Uruguayan psychologist, member of IRCCA (Cannabis Control and Regulation Institute)
4. Charlo Greene: Former TV journalists, cannabis activist and owner of a cannabis club in Alaska, she has been defending the cannabis cause in different US media like CNN, NY Times, Fox News...

We could also enjoy the speeches of other speakers, who contributed for a better future for all cannabis growers and users.

This part of the fair is very important for us, essential for the normalisation of cannabis. A truly interesting and inspiring forum, absolutely recommendable.
